According to Greek media, The defense cooperation between Greece and India is a shining field of glory. Greece and India are now coming even closer, after the presence of the Indian Foreign Minister in Athens. At the same time, Turkey has established an axis with Pakistan and is challenging India in Kashmir.
India successfully test-fires 25 Pinaka rockets, can destroy targets up to 45km. Will be deployed at LAC
Turkey is becoming a ruthless Islamic country, as is Pakistan, while Islamabad is helping Turkey with its nuclear program, as Erdogan’s goal is to acquire nuclear weapons. Greece and India have many things that unite them, while there are ties from the time of Alexander the Great.
According to Greek media, Athens and Delhi have two common enemies, Turkey and Pakistan. That is why Indian and Greece need to work together in the field of information exchange and in the field of defense. India is producing weapons systems that could change the course of things.
One of these Indian defense products is the BrahMos Cruise Missile with a range of 290 km(export version) and a speed of 3.5 Mach, which can equip Rafale aircraft. While the latest land-based Brahmos missile rage is 600km.
The BrahMos-A is a modified air-launched variant of the missile with a range of 500 km which can be launched from a Sukhoi Su-30MKI as a standoff weapon. To reduce the missile’s weight to 2.55 tons, many modifications were made like using a smaller booster, adding fins for airborne stability after launch, and relocating the connector. It can be released from the height of 500 to 14,000 metres (1,640 to 46,000 ft). After release, the missile free falls for 100–150 metres, then goes into a cruise phase at 14,000 metres and finally the terminal phase at 15 metres. BrahMos Aerospace planned to deliver the missile to the IAF in 2015, where it is expected to arm at least three squadrons. A Su-30MKI is able to only carry one BrahMos missile. On 20 January 2020, the IAF commissioned its first squadron of Su-30MKI fighters equipped with the PJ-10 BrahMos-A missile.
India also actively working on a new version Brahmos NG. The Sukhoi Su-30 MKI jet is capable of carrying one BrahMos missile under its fuselage but once the newer version is ready, the twin-engine multirole air superiority fighter will be configured to carry three such cruise missiles, one under the fuselage and two each under its wings. Even the indigenous supersonic LCA Tejas will be configured to carry two BrahMos missiles under its wings.
Greece procured 18 Rafale from France with the first landing in July in Tanagra, having as a plan their equipment with Cruise missiles. The Greek Air Force is likely to test the equipment even with Indian missiles, while expert analysts say that Washington will not bring possible obstacles, due to the rivalry between India and China.
The BrahMos missile would be a formidable weapon for Greek new French aircraft, which would cause panic in Turkey in combination with the ability of Greek pilots.
We do not know exactly what is possible to implement in all this, but we remind that the general director of the general directorate of civil defense, Dr. Konstantinos P. Balomenos, received on May 25, 2021, the Deputy Defense Minister of India, Colonel Anupam Ashish, at the Ministry of National Defense, in the context of bilateral defense relations between Athens and New Delhi.
During the meeting, issues of common interest were discussed and the further expansion of cooperation on military training activities, in particular, exercises and operational training at bilateral and multilateral level, military academic training and dealing with hybrid threats was discussed.
The Indian General e.a. Rajan Kochhar. He spoke about the alliance that Greece and India should create, while he mentioned that Athens and New Delhi can cooperate in the field of defense industry.
“The Turkey-Pakistan alliance is getting stronger. The two countries are constantly conducting exercises with warships in the Eastern Mediterranean. Islamabad has also ordered 4 corvettes from Turkey. Erdogan wants the re-establishment of the Ottoman Empire, that is his dream. So Erdogan’s goal is to acquire nuclear weapons, so he will achieve his goals. We recently had a meeting of high-ranking officials, where the transfer of technology from Pakistan to Turkey was discussed. Greece and India need to develop stronger ties. We see that there is an alliance between France, Israel, the UAE, Greece and India. “These countries can make Greece even stronger,” he said.
The point as a nation is to prevent events now and not to run after them. India, Egypt, Israel, France, USA, are countries where we can get weapons and technology to act alone against the Turks if and when required.
